The structure and format of my resume owe their origin to analysis published by Marc Cenedella of www.TheLadders.com.  Mark believes that Leonardo Da Vinci wrote the best resume in history and teaches that we could all learn from it.  It’s a great argument!

That’s why I chose to adopt Leonardo’s resume as the basis of my own, presented below.

"Most Illustrious Lord,

As I have now sufficiently considered the specimens of all those who proclaim themselves skilled facilitators of others' dreams, and that the invention and operation of the said methods are nothing different from those in common use: I shall endeavor, without prejudice to anyone else, to explain myself to your Excellency, showing your Lordship my secrets, and then offering them to your best pleasure and approbation to effect at opportune moments on all those things which, in part, shall be briefly noted below.

ONE
I have extremely memorable, soul-improving and strong tools for building heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind, honest communication, adapted to be most easily learned, and available for anyone to master and have at all times ready for soul-to-soul connection, and at any time find the source of progress or to find and flee from the enemy, that which destroys progress and potential; and other wonderful tools of learning and expression, secure and indestructible by forgetting or failure to execute, easy and convenient to apply to all life and work challenges. Also, methods of preventing others from stopping or destroying progress, as all such enemies so readily and constantly attempt.

TWO
I know
how when a person is besieged by doubt or limited by circumstance, to take the confusion out of their mental ruts, and make endless variety of steps forward, and methods of building safety for growth and ladders for raising performance, and other strategies and tactics pertaining to such transformations.

THREE
If, by reason of the size and force of the obstacles holding one back, or the strength of the limiting pattern and its ancient hold over the mind and heart, it seems even quite impossible, when attempting to overcome these obstacles, to avail oneself of a tested, tried, true and proven set of steps for forward progress, I have methods for destroying every impediment or other factors, without or within the mind and heart of the performer, even if those impediments had stopped every other attack previously and were thought to be veritable laws of the world, etc.

FOUR
I have kinds of considerations required for leaping over such hurdles and arriving at distant destinations; most convenient and easy to learn and employ; and with these I can aid the creation of an infinite set of small thoughts almost resembling a storm; and with the flurry of these small new thoughts cause great easement of faith and belief in progress and against all enemies of progress, to their great detriment and confusion.

FIVE
And if the fight should be upon the vast sea of the great unknown, in areas of work and struggle never before sailed upon, I have many kinds of tools most efficient for mental offense and emotional defense; and internal safe havens for planning and decision, commitment and execution which will resist the attack of the largest forces and doubts and self or others' attacks.

SIX
I have means by secret and deviously brilliant routes into the subconscious and ways, made without surrender to resistance or distraction, to reach a designated spot within the soul, even if it were needed to pass under the ego's blaring shouts or the river of typical defensive thinking or misdirection, no matter how skillfully executed.

SEVEN
I will make powerful mental and emotional vehicles, safe and unattackable, which, entering among the enemy with their criticism and jealousy, there is no body of men so great but our vehicles of transformation would break their opposition. And behind these, others whom we lead could follow quite unhurt and without any hindrance.

EIGHT
In case of need, I will make big plans, bold visions, and short-term tactical options and paths of fine and useful forms, far out of the common type.

NINE
Where the operation of constant effort might fail, I would contrive new insights, leaping ideas, massive dedications, and other practices of marvelous efficacy and not in common use.  And in short, according to the variety of cases, I can contrive various and endless means of progress and transformation.

TEN
In times of success I believe I can give perfect satisfaction and to the equal of any other in life or business architecture and the composition of works and programs, products and services public and private; and in guiding insight and effort from one place to another such that all of life at work and at home will be made perfect (or, shall I say humbly, more perfect).

ELEVEN
I can provide advisement for my client's ever-deepening and ever-more powerful acquisition of self-knowledge through the watching of films, reading of books, study of information from any and all sources and the writing of plans and assessments, or merely by means of most common tracking of efforts and results, and also I can do, in clarifying and enlightening metrics work, whatever may be done, as well as any other, be he whom he may.

CONCLUSION
Again, the golden vision of your future may be taken in hand, which is to be to the immortal glory and eternal honor of the dream for yourself, your obligation to your ancestors of happy memory and the legacy you pass down to your children and descendants into perpetuity, and of the illustrious benefit to all you serve near and far, so that your work and life may be the house of glory of which you dream.

And if any of the above-named things seem to anyone to be impossible or not feasible, I am most ready to make the experiment in your true and real world of work, play, home or community, or in whatever place may please your Excellency - to whom I commit myself with the utmost humility, etc."
